Shields at Home was founded in 2022 to help health systems and hospitals design, implement, and operate successful Hospital at Home programs.

This model enables hospitals and health systems to achieve operational excellence, efficiency, and quality of care while scaling programs quickly. Shields at Home’s inaugural Hospital at Home program was launched in 2022 in partnership with Tampa General Hospital, one of the largest hospitals in Florida and rated the #1 hospital in Tampa Bay by U.S. News and World Report.

Shields at Home is a division of Shields Capital, a firm with a proven track record of innovation and partnership in healthcare and a commitment to improving quality of care, increasing access to care, and reducing the cost of care.

In 2012, Shields Capital launched Shields Health Solutions (ShieldsRx), which quickly became the premier specialty pharmacy accelerator in the country. Today, Shields Health Solutions manages outpatient specialty pharmacy operations for more than 75 health system partners and 1,000 hospitals nationwide.
